Tampa Judge Denies Bail To Julie Powers Schenecker In The Murder Of Her Two Children

Tampa, Florida, Feb 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Julie Powers Schenecker, the woman who is accused of murdering her two teenage children, was produced at a court in Tampa, Florida where she was denied bail. The 50-year-old woman was taken into custody late last week after her daughter Calyx, 16 and 13-year-old son Beau were found shot dead at their home in the Florida city. Julie Powers Schenecker is facing charges of two counts of murder for killing her two children because they supposedly talked back at her.
According to eye-witnessed present at the Tampa, Florida based Hillsborough County Court, as the judge denied bail to her during Monday’s hearing, the 50-year-old mother of two stood silently while weeping tears with a tissue. While reading out the ruling, Circuit Judge Walter Heinrich told the woman that at this point in the case, she would surely be held under custody without bail. Police spokesperson Laura McElroy has divulged that Julie Powers Schenecker shot her son twice on her car while they were on their way to his soccer practice session after the boy alleged talked back at her. The woman is said to have then returned back to her home where she shot dead her daughter Calyx who was busy on her computer.
Meanwhile, the accused woman spent part of the last weekend at a medical facility in Tampa for a pre-existing medical condition, the details of which continue to remain sketchy. Moreover, new information have emerged in the case after it came to light that Julie Powers Schenecker faced investigation in November last year for allegedly abusing her daughter although state investigators did not find any evidence which might prove the allegations.
