Taliban claim capture of two US soldiers

Kabul, July 24 (IANS) The Taliban has claimed it captured two US soldiers in eastern Afghanistan, Xinhua reported Saturday.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told the media over phone that his group has abducted two US soldiers with two cameras and two assault rifles from Charkh district Friday.
The NATO forces confirmed Saturday that two foreign soldiers were missing.
“Two International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) service members left their compound in Kabul city in a vehicle Friday afternoon and did not return,” the ISAF said in a statement.
“The search is ongoing and details will be released as they become available,” it added.
