Islamabad, Jan 24 (IANS) Taliban militants have blown up a private school of girls in northwest Pakistan, the police said Sunday.
The militants planted two bombs in the building of the Iqra Public School in Charsaadda district of North West Frontier Province, Xinhua reported.
No one was hurt in the explosions Saturday night as the school was closed.
Two rooms and the boundary wall of the school were completely destroyed.
The militants destroyed four government schools over the past few months in the area. This is the first time that a private school came under attack.
Charsaadda is located near Mohmand tribal region where the security forces are conducting anti-terror operations.
