‘Sweet child of mine’ voted greatest music riff

Michael Jackson London, Aug 11 (IANS) Hit song “Sweet child Of mine” by the rock band Guns ‘N Roses has been voted the greatest riff in music in a poll.
Thesun.co.uk reports that the song released in 1988 beat the classic 1971 hit “Layla” by guitar legend Eric Clapton.

The rest of the top ten are:

3 Aersomith’s “Walk this way”

4 Michael Jackson’s “Beat it”

5 Motorhead’s “Ace of spaces”

6 The Jimi Hendrix Experience’s “Voodoo child”

7 Queen’s “Another one bites the dust”

8 Nirvana’s “Smells like teen spirit”

9 Deep Purple’s “Smoke on the water”

10 Green Day’s “American idiot”
