Swedish Royal Wedding Called Off Over The Prince-To-Be’s Unfaithfulness
May 1st, 2010 - 6:54 pm ICT by Pen Men At WorkMay 1, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): A Bournemouth student came into view last weekend as the improbable wedge that detached a Princess from her fiancé. As a result, one of Europe’s most enchanting regal romances was terminated.
The wedding of Princess Madeleine of Sweden and Jonas Bergstrom, an attorney, was called off on Saturday after Tora Uppstrom Berg, a 21-year-old photography learner at the Arts University College Bournemouth, proclaimed that she had been involved in a romantic association with the prince-to-be.
The Swedish palace uttered in a declaration that the Princess and her fiancé have resolved that the best for them is to disengage and journey on dissimilar paths. This has brought to a halt an engagement that purportedly commenced with a romantic proposal in front of most of the Swedish Royal Family at their summer abode.
Ms Uppstrom Berg was a Norwegian handball superstar before arriving in Britain. She declared to a publication that she had consummated her alliance with Mr Bergstrom while vacationing at an elite Swedish ski resort in February last year. This was six months prior to the pronouncement of Bergstrom’s engagement with the Princess. Ms Uppstrom described her relationship with Bergstrom as intimate and passionate.
She was remunerated a whopping amount for her story. This is a scandal that has shaken Sweden’s comparatively steady regal establishment.
Mr Bergstrom, who is a high-status man in Scandinavia as a consequence of his eight-year liaison with the Swedish Princess, concealed his identity when he met Ms Uppstrom. It was only when she dialed his cellular phone’s number and heard his voicemail that she realized his authentic identity and his romantic bond with the third-in-line to the Swedish throne. Ms Uppstrom confessed that she would never have initiated a passionate relationship with Bergstrom if she knew that he was in a relationship with another woman. She sympathized with Princess Madeleine because of her association with a disloyal man.
The interview made the Scandinavian journalists jostle to acquire a sight of the woman liable for wrecking the eagerly awaited royal matrimony.
Back in Sweden, Ms Uppstrom has been maligned by some. However, she has also been labeled as having done for Sweden a good deed by revealing Bergstrom’s unfaithfulness before the matrimony.
