Sustainable political conversion impossible without cultural change in Nepal, says Prachanda
October 5th, 2008 - 1:41 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment ) Kathmandu, Oct 5 (ANI): Nepal Prime Minister Prachanda has said that the political transformation cannot become sustainable and long-lasting without cultural transformation.
Speaking at the inaugural programme of the newly constructed building of Rastriya Nach Ghar here on Saturday, Prachanda said the political transformation would become handicapped and short-lived unless the cultural change process spreads out.
“We saw big historical changes such as conduction of the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections, implementation of the federal democratic republic and the result of the struggle launched by Nepali people for decades,” said Prachanda.
“This political transformation of crucial importance cannot be sustainable and lasting unless this process is irrigated with cultural transformation,” he added, Kantipur reported. (ANI)
