libraryandsciencebuildingNov 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Sussex County Community College (SCCC) is all set to host the Law Enforcement Blue Mass on Nov. 18 at 11 a.m, Thursday at the Performing Arts Center in the college campus. The two college student organizations, namely Catholic Campus Ministry and the Criminal Justice Club, will be in charge of organizing this event.

This mass is aspiring to honor the law enforcements of the past and the present, who have helped for the betterment of the community. It will pay a tribute to all those police officers, who have sacrificed their lives and worked undauntedly for the security and well being of the community. The program will be attended by many law enforcement community members and the families members of those police officers, who have sacrificed their lives in the process of serving the society. After the mass gets over, there will be a prayer service and the attendees would adorn the 9/11 Memorial, which has been created in the college campus itself by laying wreath on it. Thus, they will be commemorating the martyrs and the innocent people who lost their lives in the most unfortunate terror attack of the decade. This event will be followed by refreshments for the guests and the students. The celebrant for the mass will be Father Michael Rodak, chaplain for Catholic Campus Ministry.

However, that is not the end of it. The college has yet another exciting event lined up for November 23, 2010 at 10:50 am, at the Performing Art Center. There would be a performing art extravaganza that would include modern, traditional and folkloric Middle Eastern music and dance. The entry fee for this event is $7 for all the guests.
