Survivor pulled out alive 8 days after Japan disaster

Tokyo, Mar.19 (ANI): Japanese military has found a young man under a crushed house, eight days after massive earthquake and tsunami tragedy that hit Japan.

The man, identified as Katsuharu Moriya and aged in his 20s, was pulled out from the rubble of a partially destroyed house in Kesennuma city. He was found around 9:00am local time and was sent to a hospital.

According to the Fox News, Self-Defense Forces rescuers said he was unable to speak as he was suffering from shock.

Japan was hit by a powerful earthquake and tsunami on March 11.

According to police, nearly 7,197 have been confirmed killed and around18, 000 people are missing in the natural disaster that has turned the city into waterlogged and debris-shrouded wastelands. (ANI)
