Suicide bomber kills seven in Iraq
July 15th, 2009 - 5:13 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Ramadi (Iraq), July 15 (Xinhua) Seven people were killed and 16 injured Wednesday in a suicide car bomb attack in Iraq’s western city of Ramadi, police said.
A suicide bomber rammed his explosives-laden car into a police check post in Ramadi town, some 110 km west of Baghdad, an official said.
Two traffic policemen were among the dead. Anbar province is considered a stronghold of the Al Qaeda network in Iraq.
The attack came two weeks after the US troops pulled out of Iraqi cities and towns.
