Suicide blast kills one in Pakistan’s Quetta city
April 7th, 2011 - 11:52 am ICT by IANSIslamabad, April 7 (IANS) At least one person was killed and nine injured in a suicide blast in southwest Pakistan’s main city Quetta Thursday morning, Xinhua quoted police sources as saying.
The blast occurred on Gulistan Road in Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan province, the report added.
According to initial reports, an explosives-laden vehicle rammed into the wall of local police officer Wazir Khan Nasir’s home and exploded.
Khan was injured in the blast and his house was also badly damaged, local TV channel Express reported.
