Kabul, Feb 18 (Xinhua) A suicide car bomb attack targeting a foreign military convoy killed 35 people in Afghanistan’s troubled southern Kandahar province Monday, the provincial governor said. Asadullah Khalid, Kandahar’s governor, said that 27 people including three Canadian soldiers were injured in the blast.
The attack took place around 3 p.m. local time in Spin Boldak near a market when a convoy of foreign troops was passing the area, Abbul Razaq, commander of border police in the district, said earlier.
This is the second suicide blast in two days in the southern province, which is the birthplace of Taliban militants.
