Study: Tuesday at 10am is most stressful time of week
January 25th, 2011 - 10:43 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, Jan 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A study into the habit of workers in the United Kingdom has revealed that most workers in the country find 10 am on Tuesdays to be the most stressful working days.
The research was carried out by UK recruitment firm, Michael Page. The respondents were between the ages of 18 and 45 years. The respondents were asked about stress related questions associated with their work.
Most of the respondents said that their stress levels peak at 10 am on Tuesdays. However about 3 in four respondents revealed that they carry stress every day and the level gets very unbearable at 11:16 am. Twenty percent admitted that the stress level gets too much for them just before 9 am every working day.
A spokesman for Michael Page explained that, “It’s worrying such a large number of us are under so much pressure from bosses and there not being enough hours in the day that we go home and have an alcoholic drink to recover.”
It is believed that after the weekend, many workers barely make it through Monday and on Tuesday the enormity of their job ahead gets to them and ends up stressing them out.
