Strong earthquake rocks New Zealand Islands

- Wellington, Sep 29 (Xinhua) A strong undersea quake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale jolted the Kermadec Islands in New Zealand, the US Geological Survey reported.The quake occurred at 03.19 a.m. (1532 GMT Monday). No tsunami warning has been issued.
There was no immediate report of casualties or damage.
The epicentre was located 1,035 km northeast of Auckland at a depth of 35 km.
