Lexington, April 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Investigators are looking for the thieves who stole an ATM just outside a bank in Lexington. Authorities do not currently have any suspect in custody.

The latest incident brings to four the number of ATMs that have gone missing in the state of South Carolina. Police suspect that the perpetrators of the latest case are behind the other ATM thefts as well. The incident took place on Sunday morning.

Police say the men stole a forklift from a nearby construction site and used it to lift the machine onto the back of a pick-up truck that police say was also stolen. Officials in the state say the style is similar to all the three other instances where an ATM has been stolen.

Investigators say they believe the thieves managed to steal the ATM in less than a minute. Other cities where ATMs have been stolen in the states are Anderson, Greenville and Clemson.

So far in all the instances, the police have not been able to arrest any suspect. The Lexington police also confirmed that they do not have any suspect in their custody yet. Investigation is still ongoing.
