- London, Nov 3 (ANI): A starling that its trainer says can talk, mimic mobile phones and fly at 40mph beside a vehicle is set to make its debut on the silver screen.
Lloyd Buck, 41, who is one of the top bird trainers in the world and is an avid wildlife documentary maker, has trained the bird called Arnie.
Buck says the bird has ‘vocabulary’ of 30 words.
Buck obtained a license to rear the bird after he found it rejected from its nest.
And now Arnie, named after a children’s book character, is all set to ‘act’ in a British film, which is slated to be lensed sometime next year.
“When we came across Arnie he had been thrown from the nest. He was naked and blind and would not have survived,” the Telegraph quoted Buck, as saying.
He added: “He is totally fearless and very smart. He’s also very cheeky. He says about 30 different words and phrases, impersonates Rose’s cough and my laughter. He also mimics magpies and moorhens.” (ANI)
