Star Wars TV series to be shot in Australia

Melbourne, Aug 4 (ANI): After making the superhit Star Wars episode II Attack of the Clones and episode III Revenge of the Sith in Sydneys Fox studio, George Lucas has again chosen Australia as the desired location to shoot the Star Wars TV series.

According to the grapevine, if given the green signal, the yet untitled Star Wars series will be on one of the most expensive TV productions to be made in Australia.

“We”re looking to shoot it in Australia,” news.com.au quoted filmmaker George Lucas as saying.

Apparently, it has not been finalised whether the shooting of the spin off series, which is said to generate numerous of acting and crew jobs for the local industry, will begin next year or in 2010.

The 63-year-old revolutionary filmmaker has appointed two scriptwriters to pen down the series, and to arrange the technology needed to accomplish the desired output.

“We”re in the process of writing screenplays right now, it’’s going to take a while because it’’s really hard to do,” Lucas said.

The impending Star Wars series will not have the usual Star Wars storyline including the Skywalkers stuff instead it will be based on the lower levels of life confirmed Lucas.

“It has nothing to do with the Skywalker saga,” Lucas added. (ANI)
