London, Dec 9 (IANS) Six teenage girls were crushed in a stampede at a JLS concert.Thesun.co.uk reports that there were almost 3,000 fans who flocked and were screaming to watch the boy band. But events soon took a turn for the worse when people started getting crushed against the crowd barriers.
Paramedics and police had to be rushed to Fairfield Halls in Croydon, South London.
Thirteen-year-old Amber Read said: “I couldn’t breathe - I was being crushed. It was terrifying.”
Another 14-year-old fan Steph Pritchard said: “It was chaos. People were on the floor and others were treading on them.”
Three fans became unwell and two were taken to a nearby hospital.
