Spanish tenor Placido Domingo to undergo surgery
February 23rd, 2010 - 1:38 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Feb 23 (IANS) Spanish tenor Placido Domingo, who has been suffering from abdominal pain, will undergo surgery this week.
The Spanish tenor, 69, has been forced to put his world tour on hold after doubling over in pain during his performance in Tokyo Feb 13.
Domingo’s publicist Nancy Seltzer confirmed he will undergo the “medically recommended preventive surgery” at a New York hospital, reports contactmusic.com.
But she is confident Domingo will be back on the road within six weeks after a brief recuperation period.
