Sole survivor of Di crash to testify at inquestJanuary 20th, 2008 - 1:13 pm ICT by admin
London, Jan 20 (ANI): The only surviving member of the fatal car crash that killed Princess Diana along with her lover Dodi Al Fayed and chauffer Henri Paul, will testify at the ongoing inquest into their deaths, it has been revealed.
Trevor Rees, who was Dodi Fayed’s bodyguard, initially suffered “total memory loss” in the crash, after receiving terrible injuries in the crash that took place in Paris in August 1997.
However, Rees memories are said to be slowly returning now, and he is willing to tell the court that he now remembers much more about the night Diana died.
One such memory, according to Rees, is that of the Princess calling out her boyfriend’s name in the wreckage.
He is also expected to reveal his recollection of the build-up to the crash in the early hours of August 31 1997.
According to his friends, Rees is likely to recount that he remembers the group leaving the Ritz and being pursued by two cars and a motorcycle into the Alma tunnel.
“Trevor initially suffered total memory loss from the moment he left the Ritz Hotel [in Paris]. But he has gradually recalled more and more about the night, the Telegraph quoted a friend, as saying.
Rees is expected to give evidence to the inquest on Jan 23. (ANI)
