planeHackensack, New Jersey, Feb 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Technologies can be boon and at times it turns out to be bane as well. The law enforcement officials reported that a federally owned plane, which was used for local homeland security training landed on New Jersey highway on Monday. The authorities reported that the plane made an emergency landing on the Interstate 80 in the northern side of New Jersey. However, luckily, no one was injured in that incident.

The local media outlets reported that the plane is owned by the U.S. Justice Department and it is used for training security officials of the prosecutor’s office. The Bergen County prosecutor’s office told a reputed media source that the plane landed at around 2:30 p.m. on the eastbound express lanes. However, the officials reported that the main reason for such emergency landing was the malfunction of fuel line and it barred the plane from returning to the nearby Teterboro Airport. A reputed media outlet reported that a law enforcement official and a flight instructor was on board but nobody was injured in that emergency landing. However, the airport authority has not revealed the identity of the passengers.

The eyewitnesses reported that the airport crew used flatbed truck to remove the plane from the highway as it was obstructing the vehicles on the road. On the other hand, the officials of U. S. Justice department declined to comment on the matter and they have not yet revealed the reason for the engine malfunction. However, they said that the flight was a part of training exercise but other than the pilot and the law enforcement official, it is still unclear how many people were in the plane.
