Slight intensity earthquake rocks China

There was an earthquake in Southern Xinjiang, China with the magnitude of 4.4 on the Richter scale.
The earthquake occured Wednesday, October 01, 2008 at 02:39:25 UTC (Coordinated Universal Time )and Wednesday, October 01, 2008 at 10:39:25 AM at epicenter local time as reported by the U.S. Geological Survey.
The epicenter is 275 km (170 miles) ESE of Korla, Xinjiang, China,370 km (230 miles) SSE of Urumqi, Xinjiang, China,435 km (270 miles) WSW of Hami, Xinjiang, China,2310 km (1440 miles) W of BEIJING, Beijing, China.
Last week September 12th, 2008, an earthquake measuring 5.5 richter scale rocked western parts of China but on May 12 , there was a massive quake in Sichuan province in southwestern China , injured and killing several people.
