Lakewood, Nov.30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Police officer Tina Griswold was among the four police cops who were killed after being shot at by a gunman on Sunday morning near the McChord Air Force Base as they were about to begin their day’s work. The 40 year old officer who has an illustrious 14 years of law enforcement experience behind her, is survived by her husband and two children.
Apart from Griswold, the other police officers who have killed in the gruesome incident include Sergeant Mark Renninger, Greg Richards and Ronald Owen. While remembering the slain officers, Bret Farrar,Lakewood Police Chief expressed that the four officers killed were competent professional and also added that this was an extremely difficult and challenging time for the officers as well as the family members who have lost their dear ones. Meanwhile, Lacey police Cmdr. John Suessman remembered Griswold as very brave and aggressive officer who knew her job extremely well. Suessman knew Griswold from previous encounters, as before being a part of the Lakewood department, the female officer had worked in the Lacey’s department where she worked with riot-response team. All the fellow officers remember her as an extremely capable and strict cop who was liked by all.
Griswold was a member of Lakewood Police Department that was established five years ago. Since then, the female officer was one of the most competent cops of the department and her untimely and unexpected death comes as a rude shock to everyone who knew her. Over the years, Griswold had established a name for herself and she was known as a hard-charging and tough officer who fulfilled her responsibilities immensely well.

This is a *sad* thing to have happen but when people start hearing about martial law and reduction of freedoms and they see the militarization of state and city police forces then they begin to fear for themselves. In this case you can expect more and more conflicts which the cops won’t always start and which they won’t always win.
Here is a hint to you police officers out there: arrogance toward the public (which is your real boss) is just bad policy. Work with the people, put yourselves in their shoes and uphold the constitution (highest law in the land) no matter what anyone orders you to do. Follow this advice and sleep well in the coming decade knowing that the vast majority of the people respect and support you in your duties. Fail to heed it and you will see an increasingly rebellious public which is perfectly capable of lashing back in regrettable actions such as happened to Officer Griswold and her fellow officers. This is just human nature. But if you follow the golden rule in the coming years then it will come back to you in a positive fashion.

i am a student at lakes high school, and i can say that when we heard officer griswold (known to us a few years ago as officer levalley) was one of the victims, we were shocked. She provided not only our streets, but our school with safety and not to mention she was one of my favorites. i send my condolences to her family, and would like to thank her on behalf of clover park schools for her service.
