Skater Sets New Record By Jumping Off Eiffel Tower

June 1, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Lot of people became witness to skater, Taig Khris’ record setting 41 feet freefall from the first floor of the Eiffel tower. Khris, the champion of French extreme in-line skating launched himself off the first floor of the Eiffel Tower onto a quarter pipe, setting a new world record for the Highest jump on roller skates.

People, who gathered to watch the French swashbuckler jump, waited with a bated breath till he landed on a high skate ramp. He landed and skated the first few meters before sliding down into a giant air bag. It took him two attempts to officially set a new record for jumping off a structure and freefalling onto a landing.

Khris has beaten the earlier record of 8.53 meter by Danny Way of America. After his breathtaking jump he said that he has never felt such strong adrenaline rush and added that he jumped to give people the desire to push their limits, to follow their passions, and their dreams.

To accomplish this Khris did not sleep at nights for about two years. He said that it is about achieving your dream and to show that just about everything is possible with hard work and dedication.
