Six killed in Venezuelan plane crash
February 23rd, 2011 - 5:37 pm ICT by IANSCaracas, Feb 23 (IANS/EFE) All six people aboard a twin-engine Cessna 340 died when the plane crashed in eastern Venezuela near the Colombian border, authorities said.The aircraft went down Tuesday outside the village of San Pedro del Rio during a 130-km flight from El Vigia to San Antonio, according to the director of the civil aviation accident investigation board, Lorllys Ramos.
The victims were identified as pilot Victor Correa and passengers Jesus Rojas, Efrain Rojas, Gonzalo Hidalgo, Rodolfo Betancourt and Ivan Martini.
