Six killed in Mexico violence
April 27th, 2010 - 8:50 am ICT by IANSMexico City, April 27 (IANS/EFE) Six people, including three women, were killed and 12 injured in different incidents of violence in Ciudad Juarez city of Mexico, authorities said Monday.
According to the Chihuahua state Attorney General’s Office, a group of gunmen broke into a house Saturday night in the Independencia neighborhood and opened fire on people attending a funeral.
Three women killed in the attack and 12 were wounded, the AG’s office said, adding that several of the injured were in serious condition.
In a separate incident, three people were killed Saturday night in Ciudad Juarez.
More than 5,000 people have lost their lives in the city in various drug-related violence since 2008.
