Six killed in Iraq bomb attack
March 6th, 2011 - 6:42 pm ICT by IANSBaghdad, March 6 (IANS) At least six people, including women and children, were killed and 12 injured in a roadside bomb attack in Iraq Sunday.
The blast occurred in Iraq’s southern province of Basra, Xinhua quoted a local police source as saying.
The incident occurred before midday when a roadside bomb struck a bus carrying passengers in the al-Ma’qal district in north Basra, the source stated.
Iraqi security forces sealed off the scene as ambulances rushed the victims to hospitals, the source added.
Basra is Iraq’s second largest and most populous city after Baghdad.
