Six killed in Afghanistan bomb attack
January 4th, 2012 - 4:37 am ICT by IANSKabul, Jan 4 (IANS) At least six people were killed and 19 injured in a bomb attack in Afghanistan’s Kandhar city Tuesday, said an official.
“A total of six people including four policemen and two civilians were killed and 19 others injured in an explosion that happened at around 7.15 p.m. in Chaok-e-Madad or Madad square of Kandahar city,” Xinhua quoted Kandhar provincial government’s spokesperson Daud Ahmadi as saying.
Initially, there was a small blast in the area, with no casualties. But as police forces arrived at the site and people gathered another bomb was detonated which caused the casualties, he added.
