The six human heads were found in Lerdo and Gomez Palacio cities, in Durango state. Two heads belonged to municipal police officers, who were reported missing last week. The bodies of the two officers were found later, officials at the Durango state Attorney General’s Office said.
A man’s head was found inside a cooler on a street in Lerdo and three decapitated bodies were found inside a car abandoned in Gomez Palacio with two heads kept on the windshield and the third inside the vehicle. The four victims were yet to be identified, police said.
Meanwhile, at least 13 people were gunned down by unidentified people. Seven people were shot in Tijuana city in Baja California state, while six were killed in Guerrero.
Five of the victims, including a woman, in Tijuana were drug dealers, the Baja California state Attorney General’s Office said. Reports said they were killed after a drug deal went wrong.
