Six decapitated bodies found in Mexico
February 6th, 2010 - 6:03 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Mexico City, Feb 6 (IANS/EFE) Six decapitated bodies were found inside an abandoned vehicle in western Mexico, the Public Safety Department said.
The bodies and their severed heads were found near the Constitution Square in Apatzingan city, about 500 km west of Mexico City, the Public Safety Department in Michoacan state said Friday.
An anonymous caller alerted the police about the bodies. The victims have not been identified.
La Familia Michoacana, a Michoacan-based crime gang involved in drug trafficking, kidnapping and extortion, often dismembers bodies of its murdered rivals.
Mexico has been plagued by drug-related violence in recent years.
