Six dead in China shop fire
August 25th, 2011 - 9:58 pm ICT by IANSBeijing, Aug 25 (IANS) Six people, who were sleeping inside a shop, were killed Thursday after a fire engulfed an entire floor of a three-storey building in China, officials said.
The incident took place in Taishan city in southern Guangdong province, Xinhua reported.
Initial investigation found that the victims, including the owner of the shop and five of his family members, died of suffocation, an official said.
A team of 20 firefighters managed to douse the blaze.
