Simon Cowell may get married soon: Friend
February 14th, 2010 - 7:01 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Feb 14 (IANS) Music mogul Simon Cowell may soon tie the knot with his new lover Mezhgan Hussainy and have kids, says his close friend “Nasty” Nigel Lythgoe.
Lythgoe has revealed that Cowell, 50, has been close to Hussainy, 36, for seven years now and says they make a “beautiful couple” who are considering marriage, reports afropinion.com.
“Simon and Mezhgan have known each other for seven years. Good luck to them. They make a beautiful couple. I am rather hoping Simon is going to ask me to be his best man. I really wish them the best. I would be elated if Simon married. It would be lovely if he walked down the aisle with Mezhgan. He might have to build his shoes up a bit though so he is a bit taller than her,” he said.
Lythgoe, who gave Cowell his break in TV as a judge on “Pop Idol”, also said the pop guru is so keen to be a father that he has been collecting pets as a substitute family.
“I know how much he loves animals. He is using them to supplement his need for children. I think it would be good for him to worry about someone else and a family other than himself. There needs to be little Cowells running around the house,” he said.
