Shanghai film fest to showcase 200 movies
May 26th, 2011 - 1:41 pm ICT by IANSShanghai, May 26 (IANS) Over 200 acclaimed movies, including Danny Boyle’s “127 Hours” and Coen Brothers’s “True Grit”, would be shown next month at the 14th Shanghai International Film Festival, officials said.
The films would be shown at 24 theatres from June 11 to 19, Shanghai Daily reported.
This year’s festival would feature a retrospective of Polish director Krzysztof Kieslowski, Danish filmmaker Bille August and China’s Zheng Junli.
Movie buffs can also see films like “Pina” - a 3D documentary tribute to the late choreographer-dancer Pina Bausch - and Danish drama “In a Better World”, which won the 2011 Academy Award for Best Foreign Film.
