Seychelles president hails relations with UAE
December 14th, 2011 - 12:49 am ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, Dec 13 (IANS/WAM) Seychelles President James Alix Michel has hailed his country’s relationship with the United Arab Emirates, saying the UAE was an “oasis of security, peace and stability”.
Michel said the UAE under the leadership of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has witnessed unprecedented development in the region.
The UAE “has become strong politically, economically and socially. It looks forward to future with optimism”, he said.
“The UAE today is an oasis of security, peace and stability. The UAE works for welfare of its citizens, and plays a pivotal role in the world as it provides the world with energy, and opens markets to all,” Michel said.
“The UAE is one of the fastest growing countries in the world in the areas of infrastructure, urban development, tourism, trade, economy and investment. We are looking forward to emulating the UAE’s experience in all fields,” he said.
