Several Sikhs join Imran Khan’s party
December 13th, 2011 - 11:14 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Dec 13 (IANS) Several members of the minority Sikh community in Pakistan Tuesday joined cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, a media report said.
Sikh leader Sahib Singh made the announcement at a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, Online news agency reported.
Sahib Singh said he and his community expect security of the rights of the minorities.
Shaukat Ali Yousafzai, political advisor to party chief Imran Khan, welcomed the newcomers.
