Seven killed in Russia fire
November 13th, 2011 - 9:37 pm ICT by IANSMoscow, Nov 13 (IANS) At least seven people were killed Sunday in a fire in northern Russia, the government said.
The fire broke out Saturday night at a construction site in the northern republic of Komi. It was extinguished Sunday, Xinhua reported citing the Itar-Tass news agency.
“Six bodies were found at the scene. Four others were injured in the fire and have been hospitalised. One of the injured died in hospital,” said an official from the emergency situations ministry.
A preliminary investigation into the accident said the blaze occurred due to the careless handling of fire and electric heaters by the workers.
