Seven killed in Iran steel company blast
December 12th, 2011 - 7:58 pm ICT by IANSTehran, Dec 12 (IANS) At least seven people were killed and 12 injured in an explosion in a steel plant in Iran, the semi-official Mehr news agency reported Monday.
The blast took place Sunday night at the privately-owned Ghadir steel plant, located in the city of Ardakan in Yazd province, about 690 km south east of Tehran, Xinhua reported citing the news report.
Those dead included foreign nationals, the report said.
An investigation was underway to ascertain the cause of the incident.
