Seven killed, hundreds injured in Iraq blasts (Lead)
May 14th, 2010 - 11:19 pm ICT by IANSBaghdad, May 14 (DPA) At least seven people were killed and hundreds injured in twin blasts north of Baghdad Friday, Iraqiya TV channel reported.
A suicide bomber detonated his explosives and a car bomb went off in a football stadium in Tel Afar town, in the northern province of Nineveh.
Earlier, at least 18 people were injured after an explosive device went off after Friday prayers in Hilla, a police source said.
The bomb was planted beside the Shiite Imam al-Kadhim mosque in the city, 100 km south of Baghdad.
