Seven die in Iraq bomb attack
May 22nd, 2011 - 6:49 pm ICT by IANSBaghdad, May 22 (IANS) Seven people were killed and 10 others wounded Sunday in a suicide bomb attack near the Iraqi capital, Xinhua reported.
The fatalities occurred when the bomber detonated his explosives minutes after a car bomb attack at the scene where people had gathered to help the injured.
In the first blast, an explosives-laden car was detonated near a US military convoy in al-Taji area, some 20 km north of Baghdad. Minutes later, a suicide bomber blew himself up at the site, killing seven people and wounding 10 others.
It was not immediately known if there were casualties from the convoy.
