Seven civilians die in Afghan blast

Kabul, Oct 3 (IANS) At least seven civilians were killed when a roadside bomb struck a car in Afghanistan’s Paktika province, an official said Sunday.
“The lethal device planted by Taliban rebels struck a car in Yahyakhil district Saturday evening killing seven innocent civilians including three children,” Xinhua quoted an Afghan official as saying.
Roadside bombings and suicide attacks against security forces often claim innocent lives in Afghanistan.
