Senior army officer held in Pakistan
June 21st, 2011 - 6:50 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, June 21 (IANS) A senior Pakistan Army official was arrested Tuesday for his links with a banned outfit, an official said.
Brigadier Ali Khan, who was on a General Headquarter posting, is being probed and any further information would hamper the probe, said Major-General Athar Abbas, director general of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Maj. Gen Abbas added that the army had a strict system of internal security and checks would be carried out.
