Aug 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In the midst of hundreds and thousands of people who gathered at Seattle’s Myrtle Edwards Park on the eve of Hempfest, the Seattle Police was able to trace a registered sex offender with a tip from a media channel. The police was able to arrest 32-year-old Ferrell David Arnold, just after the latter was interviewed by a local news crew on Friday. It was the local news crew who were covering the Hempfest eve that informed the police of Ferrell David Arnold’s whereabouts.
A registered sex offender, Ferrell David Arnold was being held on a $100,000 bond for Charges of forgery and Grand Theft in Couer D’Alene. He was granted a 24-hour furlough by the court on Wednesday according to which he was scheduled to reports to the jail by Thursday evening. Ferrell David Arnold failed to turn up at time and a warrant was subsequently issued.
On Friday, although officer on bicycle were swarming near the Myrtle Edwards Park to trace the offender, it was the KOMO 4 News reporter Lindsay Cohen and Photojournalist Peter Mongillo who spotted Ferrell David Arnold. The sex offender was reportedly enjoying himself with a group of friends at Hempfest along a bicycle trail when the reporters approached him and interviewed him. After asking Ferrell David Arnold a few questions, Lindsay Cohen asked his name and place of residence to which the former replied “David Arnos” from Coeur d’Alene. It was then that the police was alerted and guided down the trail. The Bicycle officers then were able to get hold of the offender and cuffed him.
