London, Oct 26 (IANS) Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn has jetted to Cuba to interview Fidel Castro for an article.
Penn, who has come under fire for his support of the anti-US revolutionary and his President brother Raul, is claimed to have flown to the communist country to discuss how US President Barack Obama’s administration has affected Cuba, reports gossip.ie.
The interview with the former Cuban leader will reportedly be used for an article Penn is writing for America’s Vanity Fair magazine.
The actor has been heavily criticised for his connections to Castro and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, with a US journalist even accusing him of discrediting his good work in the gay community by lending his support to the controversial politicians.
