Scottish singer goes missing from hospitalAugust 3rd, 2008 - 1:58 pm ICT by IANS
London, Aug 3 (IANS) Veteran Scottish pop star Gerry Rafferty has sparked fears for his safety after quietly disappearing from a hospital here, where he was receiving treatment for liver failure. The 61-year-old, who has been battling alcoholism for years, was admitted to St. Thomas’ Hospital for the alcohol-related health problem.
But the “Baker street” singer has now gone missing from his hospital bed leaving all his personal belongings behind, reports contactmusic.com.
A source said: “No one saw him leave or has a clue where he is.”
Rafferty was thrown out of the posh Westbury Hotel here earlier this week after allegedly wrecking his room during a drunken binge.
