‘Schumi’s presence would only add fuel to Hamilton’s aggression and prospects’

London, Feb. 5 (ANI): The presence of Michael Schumacher on racing circuit will only add to Lewis Hamilton’s aggression, former Formula One team owner Eddie Jordan and ex-grand prix driver David Coulthard have predicted.

“Michael’s comeback will only add to Hamilton’s aggression, and Sebastian Vettel’s. Lewis is hugely talented and has never raced Michael. Back comes this guy with the biggest reputation in F1. It will only add to his aggression to succeed. My money would be on Hamilton,” the Daily Express quoted Jordan, who is a BBC pundit now, as saying.

While the duo is delighted at Schumacher’s comeback, they warned he could have a tough year.

“Michael is an adrenaline junkie for F1 Some can leave the sport, Michael cannot and that is why he is back. It is obviously not for the money, so it has to be because he thinks he can beat the best. But that could backfire on him,” said Jordan at the launch of the BBC’s Formula One team for 2010.

Coulthard, who had many battles with Schumacher in his McLaren days, warned that Schumacher, who has made a great career of avoiding fast team-mates, may have a difficult season.

“Everyday life bores Michael. I miss the adrenaline since I retired. Nothing gives you the buzz like grand prix racing. It’s great for F1 but it is a bold move to come back. Michael has made a great career of avoiding fast team-mates for whatever reason,” he said.

“You are entitled to question how he might have got on alongside the likes of Fernando Alonso or Hamilton. He will have enough pace to keep Nico Rosberg as number two,” he added. (ANI)
