Seremban, Feb. 18 (ANI): A school dropout has been charged with the killing of Malaysian Indian Congress Rahang branch chief and his 21-year-old son, while seven others were acquitted by a Malaysian court. High Court judge Azhar Ma”ah on Tuesday ruled that the prosecution had established a prima facie case against the school dropout for jointly murdering D. Balakrishnan, 53, and B. Kathigesan, the New Straits Times Online reports. The dropout was aged 17 when he was first charged with his brothers P. Thana Sekaran, 26, and a juvenile then aged 15. The prosecution could not prove a case against the seven accused, two of them brothers of the school dropout, and their close friends. Others acquitted on Tuesday were K. Yogaraja, 28, S. Suresh, 26, Maluin Satish Samuel, 28, Sashidran, 26, and P. Anthony, 43. The accused were charged with participating in an unlawful assembly with the common intention of causing injury to Karthigesan and Balakrishnan, leading to their death. They were alleged to have committed the offences at a house in Jalan S2, E15, Seremban, between 1.30am and 2.30am on Sept 25, 2004. (ANI)
