Sarkozy’s ex-wife to marry US-based businessmanMarch 23rd, 2008 - 4:53 pm ICT by admin
Paris, March 23 (DPA) Cecilia Ciganer-Albeniz, ex-wife of French President Nicholas Sarkozy, is to marry US-based businessman Richard Attias Sunday, according to the Paris department store Au Bon Marche which posts a wedding gift list for the couple on its website. The marriage is due to take place in New York, media reports said. Ciganer-Albeniz (50) had briefly left Sarkozy for Attias (48), a Moroccan-born events organiser, in 2005 but returned to Sarkozy ahead of the 2007 French presidential elections.
The list of gifts requested by the couple appeared relatively modest, with sheets and towels as well as crockery including a set of six eggcups at 35 euros a piece.
Sarkozy remarried Italian-born model and singer Carla Bruni in a Paris registry wedding Feb 2.
