Hamilton, March 10 (IANS) Sachin Tendulkar will miss India’s fourth one-day international against New Zealand here Wednesday.
The 35-year-old smashed a brilliant unbeaten 163 to guide India to a 58-run win and a 2-0 lead in the series in Christchurch Sunday. But during the innings he had to retire hurt after pulling a stomach muscle.

Youngster Rohit Sharma is likely to fill in for Tendulkar, while New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori returns after attending the birth of his first child, a son.

The Indian team management confirmed that Tendulkar will be fit for the three-Test series.

In Tendulkar’s absence Gautam Gambhir is set to open the innings while Sharma will play in the middle order.
