Russian plane makes emergency landing
June 9th, 2011 - 3:40 pm ICT by IANSMoscow, June 9 (IANS) A Boeing-737 with 64 people on board made an emergency landing in Russia’s Rostov-on-Don city Thursday due to a technical problem, an official said.
Donavia Airlines spokeswoman Inna Churlyaeva said the plane took off from Rostov Airport for Moscow at 6.30 a.m. (0230 GMT). There were 58 passengers and six crew members on board the aircraft.
“The aircraft made an emergency landing because of asymmetric flaps retraction,” she said.
None of the people on board were injured during the landing and they were flown to Moscow on another aircraft.
