Russian foreign minister to meet Libyan opposition
May 22nd, 2011 - 2:27 pm ICT by IANSMoscow, May 22 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will meet a representative of the Libyan opposition Monday, a source from Lavrov’s delegation has said.
“The meeting between Sergei Lavrov and the Benghazi representative will be held in Moscow on Monday,” the source said Saturday.
Libyan rebels have established a Transitional National Council in the eastern city of Benghazi. Several western states have recognised the council and even sent envoys to Benghazi.
