Russia, US to hold nuclear security drills
July 26th, 2011 - 9:37 pm ICT by IANSWashington, July 26 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Russia and the US will hold joint nuclear security drills under the bilateral military cooperation committee, the US State Department said.
The exercise - codenamed Crimson Rider - will take place at the Camp Guernsey base in Wyoming.
The exact date of the exercise is yet to be announced.
The drills, focusing on counter-terrorism measures, will involve a vehicle used for transporting nuclear warheads.
The military will also exchange tactical and technical experience in providing security for nuclear materials.
